Payments

  • How much does instructor training cost?

The cost of instructor training is £3000, with payment plans available upon request.

Scholarships are also available for teacher training for individuals on universal credit, requiring only the payment of a £500 deposit.

  • My household income is more than £20k per year, but my personal income is less. Am I still applicable to the scholarship scheme?

Yes, the scholarship is based on personal income not household income. In which case you are still able to apply under the scholarship scheme.

  • How do payment plans work?

In order for a payment plan to be put into effect you’re still required to pay the £500 non-refundable deposit.

The remaining balance is then divided by the number of months until the end of the group training sessions.

For example–If there is 6 months until the end of training you will need to pay

    Month 1: £500 non-refundable deposit || Month 2 - 6: £500

  • Are payment plans available for the deposit?

Payment plans are not offered for the deposit, and the scholarship itself does not have payment plans available.

  • What is your refund policy?

Training Segments

  • What is the training timeline?

    Part 1 | Training:

    • 7 weeks of Virtual Group Theory Training:
Sessions are held every Wednesday at 7 pm London time.

    • Attendance of 9 weeks of Movement is Medicine Classes.

    Part 2 | Pilots:

    • Creation of a 4-week Pilot Program
The pilot program needs to be developed and submitted for approval by the MIM training team.

Participants have 6 weeks to book pilots after the final day of group training and a subsequent 2 weeks to complete all pilots.

  • How do pilots work?

Before achieving full certification, a prerequisite entails conducting four pilot classes. These classes are mandated to be scheduled within 6 weeks following the conclusion of training and must be concluded within a maximum timeframe of 4 weeks thereafter. This stipulates that the four pilot classes must be finalised within 10 weeks after the conclusion of training. Successful completion of certification marks the successful acquisition of access to all licensed materials.

  • What is the minimum number of attendees required for a pilot session to be considered valid?

For a pilot session to be considered valid at least 5 participants must attend.

However, they do not necessarily need to be the same individuals each time. Students are encouraged to attend each other's sessions to foster a collaborative learning environment.

Certification & Licensing

  • How does the £500 licensing fee work.

The licensing fee is paid on an annual basis to ensure legal use of all Movement is Medicine™ resources.

    This will give you:

    • Authorised use of the Movement is Medicine® copyrighted materials and intellectual Property in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in Service Agreement.

    • Right to promote yourself as a “Certified Movement is Medicine® Method Instructor” and to highlight your badge on professional profiles.

NOTE: The Certified Badge is able to be shared on public channels, but the Certification of Completion must not be shared on public social channels for reasons associated with data protection.

    • Access to the MIM Members Slack group

    • Your name and booking information can be posted publicly on the MIM instructor page.

    • Communication with the MIM team by email for questions (solely related to Movement is Medicine®).

Such communication is limited to matters directly related to the Movement is Medicine.

Please note: This communication does not provide you with direct access to the Movement is Medicine team’s personal social channels, 1:1 interactions, or business advisory services, and the MIM team retains the right to determine the nature and extent of their involvement in such discussions.

  • Do I have to pay the licensing fee in addition to tuition?

The licensing fee is waived for the initial year. Subsequently, a recurring annual licensing fee of £500 becomes applicable, with the due date coinciding with the conclusion of the training program.

  • How long is my certification valid for?

Your full certification as a Movement is Medicine Method Facilitator is valid for a duration of 1 year from the completion date of your training. It's important to be aware of the expiration date and make necessary arrangements for renewal or compliance with any renewal requirements outlined by the certification program.

  • What happens if I don’t pay the licensing fee every year?

Failure to remit the annual licensing fee on time will result in the forfeiture of all access privileges to the licensed materials.

It is imperative to adhere to the stipulated payment schedule to maintain uninterrupted access to and use of the materials. Non-payment will lead to a voiding of access until the outstanding licensing fee is settled. We highly recommend prompt payment to ensure continued access to the valuable resources provided under the licensing agreement.

  • How do I maintain certification?

To maintain your certification as a MIM Method Facilitator you must adhere to the following guidelines:

    • Annual Licensing Fee: Pay the annual licensing fee (£500), which grants you the right to use the Movement is Medicine® trademark and branding.

    • Comply with Guidelines: Strictly follow the guidelines provided by MIM:

    • Avoid playing unapproved music during sessions to retain your license.

    • Ensure correct pitching and marketing of MIM; failure to comply after correction requests may lead to license revocation.

    • Avoid copying resources or the methodology for personal gain, as it may result in legal action.

    • Use the trademark only to promote Movement is Medicine® and refrain from promoting other practices or businesses outside of MIM to avoid legal consequences.

Adhering to these guidelines ensures the continued integrity of the Movement is Medicine® certification and protects the rights and reputation of certified facilitators.
